Inspire me Friday- Smiles!
I love photographing children because you can get the most candid photographs just by following them around. They are always naturals in front of the camera. My daughter can be silly sometimes because she is so used to me having my camera in her face or trying to sneak up on her when she is being silly. She always usually stops what she is doing when I pull out the camera. A trick I have learned is to be silly and continue playing with her and acting as though I am NOT about to take her picture. She will usually continue to be silly and not focus on the camera. A lot of times I will sing to her or jump around with her and then of course take a few snap shots and continue doing that until I capture a moment that I love. I took this of her last summer (I am doing a lot of sharing from last summer, I guess I REALLY miss the warm weather and being outdoors) and just LOVE the smile she gave me. She was just getting her teeth and her little expression to me is so priceless. Another trick for getting smiles is try bringing some bubbles or a small toy outside and playing with your kids. This will surely get some smiles. The bubbles ALWAYS work. What kid doesn’t smile and laugh when they are popping bubbles! I have some finger puppets and will use those since they fit on my finger very easily and I can still use my hands and other free fingers to take pictures. If you have images of your favorite “smiles” you can post them tomorrow on the linky! Thanks for reading along.
